EU法令類型：

 具約束力的(binding): Regulation, Directive, Decision

 無約束力的(not binding): Recommendation, Opinion
  Regulation(法規):於歐盟整體必需被予以施行。
 Directive(指令): 歐盟各會員國需予以立法達成一致性目標。
 Decision(決議): 直接適用於特定對象。
 Recommendation(建議): 歐盟各機構所發佈的建議，即使是被建議的對象亦無需擔負法律義務 
 Opinion(意見) :當法律制定時， 歐盟主要機構（委員會，理事會，議會），地區委員會，歐洲經濟和社會委員對該區域、經濟及社會的觀點所發布的意見。
